[ME•Volunteer] One stroke of color, color envelops Lei Feng

A stroke of painting, a stroke of warmth, a touch of color, and the charm of Lei Feng.

On the afternoon of March 28, 2018, the sun was shining, and the warm spring breeze gently stroked the Huaguang School Road. The childish and smiling faces of the children from Hengtan Primary School who came to participate in the painting.

With the theme of carrying forward Lei Feng's volunteer spirit and practicing the red thought, the League Committee of Huaguang Mechanical Engineering College and the Young Pioneers of Hengtan Primary School jointly organized a series of painting activities for a hundred people-the lighthouse project: learning the spirit of Lei Feng.

The guests at the scene include Mr. Guo Peihong, deputy secretary of the Party branch and director of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Zhou Yahui, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Huang Weixia, Director of Hengtan Elementary School, Mr. Li Zhi, an instructor of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. He Shuqi, Hengtan Elementary School Teacher Wang Ruichun, Teacher Zeng Sujuan, and representatives from the International Business School, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Computer, and the School of Civil Engineering.

After the volunteers guided the children to the Plaza of the Living Center, Mr. Guo Peihong, the deputy secretary of the Party branch of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the director of the Office of Education and Work, welcomed the arrival of the teachers and students of the primary school, and expressed his approval for our volunteer work.

Next, the Aeromodelling Association brought a wonderful drone flight show, and then the Wushu Association brought a stick boxing show. The performance team of the academy also sang an adapted song: Starlight Ode to Lei Feng.

After all the performances were over, Director Huang Weixia of Hengtan Primary School also gave a speech, praising the profound friendship of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Hengtan Primary School for so many years of voluntary cooperation.

After the host announced the start of the activity, the volunteers selected their own paints and drafts to paint with the children according to the previous arrangement.

After 50 minutes of intense, exciting and fun painting, the guest judges on the scene gave a score to the paintings of each group.

After the guests and staff gave the children the certificates of honor and prizes, they took a group photo together to record this beautiful, fulfilling and fun afternoon.
